Hi, I’m Jim Blodget. I’m enjoying art, music, and photography in my retirement.
Timeline:

.
.
1966 to 1970 – These were my college years. I went to U.C. Berkeley and graduated with a degree in Communications.
.
1971 to 1975 – I moved to Salem, Oregon and for four years I lived in a small house on 60 wooded acres in the hills south of town. My first professional job was film director (later production manager) at the local tv station, KVDO-TV channel 3.
1975 to 2008 – I married my wife, Kris, and started working at Chemeketa Community College where I taught photography, web graphics, and fencing, ran the tv studio, and worked with other faculty to produce educational materials such as interactive laserdiscs, CD-ROMs, computer simulations, websites, and online classes.
1981 – Our daughter Elizabeth was born. She left for college in 1999 and graduated with a degree in Journalism from the University of Oregon in 2004. She married Josh Wyman and they now have a son, Jacob, born in 2012.
2008 to present – I retired. I’m pursuing my interests in art and music and photography. I enjoy walking, kayaking, and gardening and the company of good friends and family.
